Art Antidote Project // Founder & Artist // 2012 – Present // Aid underserved/minority youth in recovery from psychological trauma through art therapy and healing public art installations. Provide free curative art activities, workshops, and creative community projects to youth and their families.


Volunteer Pediatric Hospital Photographer // 2006 – Present // Provides families of critically ill infants and children complimentary photography services. Currently “on-call” status will Maryland General Hospital, University of Maryland Hospital Center, and John’s Hopkins Pediatric/NICU units.

Swim Across America // 2010 Team Captain & Swimmer // Raised over $5,000 for Baltimore open-water swim for cancer event. Organized team training, practices, website, fundraising and campaign. Swimmer in the September 2010 open-water event in Baltimore.

Establish routines for each event from where belongings go to safe bus practices. Fill out event reports. Fill out incident reports. Track progress of students in program to ensure individual goals are met. Request supplies for events. Stepping into role of instructor. Determining how much instruction and activity time is possible and communicating that. Project manager for all weekly sessions. Provide feedback and consultation on all policies procedures, involving the YLP program-especially student focused. Location selection and logistics. Curriculum and goals and objectives, while keeping an eye on student progress and readiness for each goal. Know and be aware of all logistics, space contact, curriculum goals and objectives, intake reviews of each student and progress reports from program  policies, legal and communication, student contact information, platforms for communication including website, mass communication app, etc., website and other platform login and passwords.

Develop curriculum and teach visual-arts youth classes for magnet arts high school, grades 9 & 12, in a studio classroom for 20-30 students. Teach advanced studio classes providing students with opportunities to produce work in a 3-D format with an emphasis on spatial relationships, learning how to expand their arts practice in an interdisciplinary format, explore a broad range of media, execute large-scale projects and cohesive series of smaller projects based on individualized instructor/student objective plans. Facilitate opportunities for students to work in the areas of performance art, interactive new media, and curated social-conscious based work. Familiarize students with a variety of art concerns and issues including materials, techniques, the elements of art, and principles while  learning new ways of approaching and combining traditional methods of making with new media (digital art).

Develop and coordinate year-round, arts, youth empowerment, enrichment, and educational programs for Baltimore City’s Arts Council (Baltimore Office of Promotion and The Arts) for thousands of participants annually. Provide comprehensive arts classes for young people ages >1 to 24, their families, and the general public. Responsible for planning and implementing all aspects of arts outreach program including: hiring staff, generating contracts, managing & training instructors; maintaining equipment/tools, purchasing program materials, managing program budget, maintaining accurate records, working with various city organizations/agencies, preparing exhibitions/performances, coordinating large-scale public special events, and generating/preparing required reports and programmatic documentation. Work with team to produce Light City, Artscape, Baltimore Book Festival and other large-scale, multi-day, festivals. Project-management and responsible for all aspects including: venue, crew, staff, volunteers and designing experiences for the general public.
